What’s the Society Expo?

The former Conference Marketplace is now bigger and better. And it has a new name – the Society Expo . The DKG Conference in Phoenix will feature the Society Expo as the hub for social visits, shopping, and exploring the work of DKG. Join the NewBEEs' Buzz in Detroit!

The DKG Detroit International Conference (July 11-16) is swarming with excitement! NewBEEs will be welcomed in an orientation session, will receive a Hive Keeper (a mentor/friend) to help understand and be informed of conference events, along with the opportunity to form friendships with other NewBEEs.  As this is the first International Conference the NewBEEs have attended, please know that there will be exciting speakers, sessions covering a wide variety of topics, unique vendors, and dueling pianos.  Detroit has many great places to visit, using either the People Mover tram to city sites or the QLine buses to the museums.  Windsor, Canada, is close by so bring your passport. Act Fast! Register NOW, Prices are about to Rise!

You may register online or by mail, but do it soon !  For the Detroit conference:   the registration price jumps after June 11, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. EST the meal tickets will no longer be sold after 11:59 p.m. EST on June 26, 2023.    the hotel group rates for overnight rooms are only guaranteed through 5 p.m. EST June 20, 2023. You may register for the full conference or for one day (choose Thursday, Friday or Saturday). Discover Detroit: Plan Your Perfect Visit!

Travel to Detroit If you are arriving by car, please know that the hotel offers parking onsite, at $25 per day .  Valet parking is $35 a day. There are also a number of nearby parking lots, with varying prices.   Check Park Whizz, Park Rite, and others .  Just search  “ parking near Book Cadillac, Detroit ”. If you are flying into Detroit Metropolitan airport, you will be about twenty miles from the hotel .   The hotel does not have a shuttle .  Some options are (one way):  Shuttlefinder shows a car with driver that can take 3 passengers for $106;     estimated taxi fare is $50;    Lyft runs $25-$49 depending upon the size of the vehicle;  Uber estimates the cost at $23.    There are other options available, too.   At the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel, check-in time is 4 pm.    What to Pack     When you are packing, please consider bringing:   Casual clothing.
