What’s the Society Expo?

The former Conference Marketplace is now bigger and better. And it has a new name – the Society Expo. The DKG Conference in Phoenix will feature the Society Expo as the hub for social visits, shopping, and exploring the work of DKG. The Society Expo will open with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, July 21, and will be divided into four unique areas:

DKG Marketplace – The DKG Marketplace will be the familiar shopping location in the Society Expo, where members will find opportunities to purchase items from a variety of vendors, including:

• Award Concepts – official DKG jewelry and branded products
• The Bell Collection - sterling silver bell pendants and charms
• Nancy's Jewelry & More – jewelry extenders, scarves, and more
• LuLaRoe with Carla Rogers – women's and children's clothing
• Books by:
• Denise Furlong – 2023 Educators Book Award Recipient
• Al Quihuis – Keynote speaker, author, and Arizona historian
• Elena Ivanova – Author and DKG member
• DKG International Educators Foundation – learn about and support the work of the DKG International Education Foundation
  

DKG Committee Connections – As part of the Society Expo, each DKG committee will have a space in the DKG Committee Connections where they share information about how their work supports members and keeps the Society "moving forward with vitality, relevance, and sustainability in our changing world."

DKG Member Art Gallery – The DKG Member Art Gallery, similar to the online Fine Arts Gallery hosted by DKG, will be another part of the Society Expo during the Phoenix Conference. This gallery will allow members to showcase their talents through original and creative artwork, including painting, drawing, jewelry, ceramics, photography, writing, and many other creations. This exhibit will be open for viewing on Friday and Saturday.

DKG Beehive – NewBees, members attending a DKG conference for the first time, will have a special area in the Society Expo. The Beehive will be a place where NewBees can gather to meet other NewBees, find out about all that the Phoenix Conference has to offer, meet new DKG friends, and make connections with their Hivekeeper, who will help them to maneuver and make the most of their first conference experience.

The new Society Expo will be a lively and vibrant place to have fun, enjoy shopping, greet old friends and make new ones, and learn more about Delta Kappa Gamma. Listen for the laughter, excited voices rejoicing over that unique "find," enlightened conversations, and sounds of DKG members enjoying Phoenix. There's something for everyone at the Society Expo.
