Delve into Detroit: Devise Your Desired Itinerary!

Sessions, Speakers and Ticketed Events

On the DKG website, under “Events” and “Detroit” you will find the introductions to our planned keynote speakers: Monica Eason, Kristy Sidlar, Dr. Debbie LeBlanc, and Nita Scott.

Please note on the schedule that our speakers will be presenting at a ticketed event so be sure to sign up for those meals.  Monica Eason will speak at the Thursday luncheon, Kristy Sidlar at the Friday breakfast, Debbie LeBlanc and Nita Scott at the Friday luncheon, and the Southfield Martial Arts group will present at the Saturday breakfast.

Below the speakers’ information, you will also find the schedule, and a peek at the sessions being offered.  Download the workshop info to see titles and descriptions of the forty-five sessions being offered!  It will be difficult to choose. There is truly something for everyone.

The official event begins Thursday with speaker Cynthia Moore, focusing on “Wellness Matters”.  Following that is the “Moving Forward with Relevance Luncheon,” a ticketed event featuring keynote speaker Monica Eason, then a NewBees orientation, a General Session, and the Welcome Reception at 7 pm. (That is a ticketed event.)

Friday brings “Building Relationships Breakfast,” a ticketed event with keynote speaker Kristy Sidlar, then workshops, the opening of the Society Expo, the ticketed event “Moving Forward with Vitality Luncheon” with DKG President Debbie LeBlanc and Executive Director Nita Scott speaking.  Don’t miss the next series of workshops and the meetings of the Forums. Friday evening is open for you to get out and explore.

Saturday begins with the “Fun and Focus Breakfast” (ticketed event) with the Southfield Martial Arts Team, of the Southfield Martial Arts Institute. They practice the art of Isshinryu Karate.  You have to see these amazing martial arts experts! The Expo will be open, and there will be the “Moving Forward with Sustainability Lunch” (ticketed event) and several workshops. The evening activities begin with a cocktail hour and conclude with a “Celebration in Motown Dinner with Dueling Pianos”! The dinner is also a ticketed event.
