Phoenix Conference Project: Giving Back to the Gila River Community

One focus at all levels of Delta Kappa Gamma is connecting members to the community. The 2023 Phoenix Conference is giving members an opportunity to connect to the Gila River Community in Wild Horse Pass by supporting students returning to school in late July and early August.

DKG is giving back to the conference host community by providing school supplies for the young students. Convention attendees are asked to bring any of the following items:

● Pencils (any type)
● Markers
● Pencil Pouches
● Rulers
● Glue Sticks
● Index Cards
● Colored Pencils
● Cash
● Pens
● Notebook Paper
● Erasers
● Pencil Sharpeners
● Puzzle Books
● Clear Backpacks
● Gift Cards (Amazon, Visa, etc.)

These school supplies will be distributed to the children of the Gila River Community as they prepare to begin a new school year. DKG members are known for their generosity, and the hope is that every member will bring something so that the students from the Wild Horse Pass area will start school with the supplies they need to succeed in the new school year. Not able to attend the conference? You are encouraged to send gift card(s) with a friend or contact Dr. Teresa Cowan (cowan2019eta@gmail.com) for assistance.
