The Vendor Area will be a wonderful place to purchase DKG clothing, jewelry, cosmetics, and handcrafted items from local merchants. There will also be sales to support chapters and states choosing to earn non-dues revenue. Awards Concepts will be selling DKG products that will be great additions to your personal collection or to take home to give to a DKG sister. Dr. Connie Hoag, Dr. Elena Ivanova, and Liz VanWestenburg have spent time securing quality vendors who want to share their goods with you.
In the Committee Connections area, international committees will have displays and will talk about their responsibilities. Learn about the impact the committee work can have on you and your chapter. Susan Marra is the chairwoman of this section and will have a schedule available so you know when the committees that match your interests will be in the Society Expo.
Kathleen Rodak is overseeing the Fine Arts exhibition in the Society Expo. The Arts and Humanities committee will select member artistry that will be on display during the conference. Check the DKG website to submit a work of art that you would like to add to the Fine Arts exhibit in Detroit.
To all those who will be first-time attendees at this International Conference, you will have an area in the Society Expo where you will be able to gather. This will be a place for sharing experiences, asking questions, building friendships, and feeling cozy as a NewBEE! Dr. Donna Niday has some special events planned just for you.
